About
Posted by: Rob SaxeMy name is Rob Saxe, creator of thelavenderlight.com. I’ve had the vision for this site for some time and am so happy to finally have it off the ground. I’ll be creating articles based on books I’ve studied in a format that I learned from a coaching program I participated in created by Bob Proctor.
I have learned and continue to learn much from his programs, and others, as I’ve gone over them time and time again.
“Repetition is the first law of learning.”
Bob Proctor (and others)
As you go over the information here again and again, it will become a part of you, a part of your thinking and, as a result, you begin to act, as Wallace Wattles says over and over in “The Science of Getting Rich”, in that “certain way”. Acting in the certain way will change your life as it has mine. Go to the page “Reading List”, come here often and go over and over this material. It will change your life, too.
My story is just too long to devote the time to share but lets say that I’m on a similar path as many who will come to this site. Dysfunctional childhood, abuse, self doubt, results I didn’t understand, fear…I think it’s fairly common. Jack Canfield in “The Secret” says that, essentially, 85% of us have had dysfunctional experiences in our lives and, as adults or at a minimum conscious beings, it’s up to us to accept, move forward and create from the end the life we want to experience rather than reliving the past over and over again. I was tired of that, I hope you are too.
Us
I live in a small town northeast of Sacramento with my wife Andi and our young son Ryan. I’ve learned as much from him as I have learned from anyone in my life to date. Every quality I’ve ever wanted, or thought I didn’t have, resides in him. It has been an amazing thing to watch and still is.
The key learning point for me has been the realization that I was born with the same qualities that our son has.
The drive to succeed, “I did it!” the same persistence, the same focus on what he’s interested in, the same independence, all the things that help us to be successful (whatever your definition of that term may be) and truly unique as children of God.
But somewhere along our path, we get off track. Somewhere we begin to doubt, or totally repel, any thought that we are unique, that we have any power to achieve what we want to achieve. We beat ourselves up in comparisons to others, decimating our self images in the process. As Dr. Maxwell Maltz says in “Psycho-Cybernetics”, “…our failure mechanism at work.”
The good news? This can all be changed. We are all born with the ability to succeed. No matter what age or position in life, you can uncover these qualities in yourself. This is what thelavenderlight is devoted to. The change in you and the change in me.
The Lavender Light
I sometimes wonder what the name of websites or blogsites is all about. My friend and business partner, Jim Cronin created a very unique name for his business blogsite. He called it “therealestatetomato”. As I have worked with and for Jim, clients often ask us, “how the heck did you come up with that name?”. In answer to that question about this site; I came up with thelavenderlight through a guided meditation that I use often, from Bob Proctor, part of which says “now imagine a beautiful lavender light entering in from the crown of your head. Beautiful, puffy, cloudlike energy”. Simply, that’s where it came from.
Thanks for coming here. Let’s share!
Rob
